Most people think love happens serendipitously - and perhaps they are right! But intention and consistency... well, that is what builds lasting relationships. When we first met, we were intrigued. The conversation came easy and we had lots of laughs, even if we didn't agree on everything. Andy was funny - here's a guy who freely admits he planned the restaurant for our first date to be strategically close to a police precinct, in case Kat tried to kidnap him.... hahaha. And Kat was everything, he thought she was "the bomb". After a couple more dates and a sexy kiss, it was game on. Kat invited Andy to a concert for a folk singer he'd never heard of and had no interest in (Diego El Cigala) - on a football Sunday of all days - yet, he agreed! Next thing you know, they're spending a couples weekend in the DR, visiting one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Bahia de las Águilas. The rest is a story that many of you know: Lots of music concerts, sporting events, 5k races, great food, travel, family, friends, fun. We're both very committed to our careers and making a difference in our world, in our own special ways. But making time for each other and lots of laughter have built something greater than what we ever could have imagined that first night at Guantanamera. From early on, our intentions were clear, even if we didn't admit it to ourselves. Kat was the first woman Andy brought around "his people", many said. Vacations and even some work trips became an outing for us as a couple, as we sought to spend as much time in each other's company as possible. Even if marriage wasn't the end goal at first, we knew there could be a lifetime together ahead. And yes, that intention to cultivate our love and succeed is what makes us special. And also, we laugh, A LOT. We love our families and friends and enjoy all of our adventures. Most importantly, we know we have it in us to build an amazing life together.
