Alec and I meet when we were both at our lowest. He had hit pretty much rock bottom with his addiction and he was going through a divorce. I had just started therapy to deal with my bipolar and the loss of my mother. It was in these rooms that our love grew for each other. We were able be vulnerable and open within the first day. After a month of therapy, it dawned on me that my marriage was highly abusive and controlling. So, with the help of my therapist I left. This meant that I lost the ability to go to group therapy anymore, since I had no job or insurance. I thought I would never see Alec again. Thankfully another guy from our group needed a place to live so I let him stay with me. During the time I was constantly asking if Alec was ok or what he was doing. I think he finally had gotten fed up with me asking that he told me to message him on Instagram. So I did! Alec responded right away and we talked for hours. After about 2 weeks of hanging out together we made it official. We've had our ups and downs but I would never trade that for anything in the world. He's helped me through the roughest time in my life. He just wants to make me happy and I want to do the same for him. So, join us as we take this next step together. We are so excited!!!
