Turtle Bay
Iconic upscale hotel on the North Shore. We had amazing dates here and always love coming back for sunset cocktails or to watch surfers from the shore. The beaches are public and parking is available near the resort.
Waimanalo Beach
Soft white sand, turquoise water with the Koʻolau mountains in the background. Large beach, usually with fewer crowds
Waimea Bay Beach
A North Shore classic and one of our favorite beaches on the island. In the summer, it’s all about calm, turquoise water perfect for swimming and snorkeling. In the winter, it transforms into a big-wave surfer's paradise. Parking can be challenging so arrive early!
Lanikai Beach
The best beach on the island imo. We had our engagement photo shoot here and always love coming back. It's postcard perfection: white sand, calm turquoise water and views of the mokes (two small islands) in the background. Parking can be tricky but it's worth it!
Lanikai Pillbox Trail
One of our favorite hikes on the island. It's a short but steep trail that rewards you with some of the most breathtaking views on Oahu. At the top, you’ll find sweeping panoramas of Lanikai Beach and turquoise waters. Great photo op!
Diamond Head Crater Trailhead
Iconic views of Waikiki. 1.6 miles round trip with stairs, sunshine and a stunning panorama at the top. Reservations required — book online before you go!
Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail
Easy, paved hike with stunning panoramic views of Oahu’s southeastern coastline. Accessible adventure for all ages.
Sharks Cove Snorkeling
Don’t worry, no sharks here, just crystal-clear water, colorful fish and lava rock tide pools. Safety tip: The rocks can be sharp and slippery and waves can surprise you so please watch your step and check conditions before getting in.
Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden
Stunning botanical garden. You can drive through it and enjoy scenic walks along the lake with mountain views. It’s the perfect place to connect with nature and relax.
Kualoa Ranch
Nature reserve known for its lush valleys, towering mountains and cinematic landscapes featured in movies like Jurassic Park and 50 First Dates. Visitors can explore the area through ATV rides, horseback tours, ziplining etc.
