One day back in 2015, we were introduced outside of a coffee shop on CSUN's campus called the Freudian Sip. This was the first encounter that we shared. It was a quick hello with Tim barely making eye contact. If you were to ask him about that moment, he'd mention his annoyance with having to remember another person’s name. Every time we met afterwards, he literally wore the same jacket barely speaking a word while Kateri did most of the talking. We both never considered each other in our lives. Tim was focused on his studies and having fun with his buddies, while Kateri was concentrating on school and going with the flow. Luckily, Anesh, the social butterfly that he is, saw some potential between us and, like any good wingman, got us messaging each other. One thing led to another, and we ended up on our first date at the Northridge Farmers Market. The conversation was effortless and filled with lots of laughter. Before we knew it, hours had passed. Fast forward ten dates later, Tim mustered up the courage to go in for a kiss. In typical 'Tim fashion,' we awkwardly ended up leaning the same way and bumped noses. A moment that one of us wishes to forget, but that was also the night something special happened. It was the night we became official, and our relationship took off, with many more 'nose bumps' along the way. And so, here we are, adding another chapter, from that awkward meeting at CSUN to the incredible journey that lies ahead. We believe our story is one of love that found its way, with two hearts that chose each other amidst life's unpredictability, a story that we are excited to continue writing together.
