You're invited to the wedding of...

Andrew and Kate met on Hinge! With limited social functions in the late summer of 2020 Kate decided to embrace the opportunity of meeting someone through an online dating app and chose strategically to 'swipe right' on one person. Of all the men, she chose Andrew Eichler. After a few days of chatting, Andrew knew he wanted to meet Kate in person, but timing wise it wasn't the most ideal. He had back to back family weddings and a week long vacation coming up that were going to keep him out of town for several weeks. Andrew explained honestly with Kate the situation, while asking, "I'd like to ask you out on a date, if I did so in a month, what are the odds you would say yes?" To which Kate responded, "The odds are high!". So after a month, Andrew followed up and officially asked Kate out for their first date, to which she said yes! By the end of their first evening grabbing drinks at not one, but two, local breweries in Fremont, it was clear to Kate that her "one and done" dating app strategy had somehow really worked out in her favor. There was no doubt in her mind that Andrew was a rare and amazing person and she was already excited for a second date. By the way Andrew spilled out an invitation (to go golfing) for their second date, at the closing of their first evening, so it seemed he was as well! From there, that first date quickly turned into several incredible years of dating! Meeting friends, family, and roommates, learning more about each other, traveling, spending holidays, building trust, practicing communication (lol) and new hobbies (skiing and golfing)... until finally Andrew planned a very specific special date (with the help of many supportive friends). An elaborate all day date where he successfully asked Kate to marry him on a mountain top in the North Cascades on October 21st 2023. Now engaged, they can't wait to celebrate the start of their marriage by having their wedding in the beautiful Pacific North West alongside their closest friends and family!
