We met on day one of college in the same Welcome Week group at Creighton—but somehow didn’t speak again for four years. (Katelyn had been warned about Creighton Prep boys… coincidence?) After graduation, we ran into each other at Oktoberfest at the Crescent Moon in Blackstone and finally reconnected—with a little (okay, a lot of) encouragement from Tyler’s best friends and Katelyn trying to figure out where she recognized him from. A few days later, Tyler was invited by mutual friends to a party at Katelyn and her roommate Laura’s charming—though slightly sketchy—apartment, and the rest was history. When the timing was right, everything fell into place. We’ve been inseparable ever since and can’t wait to begin our forever together—alongside our adorable but behaviorally imperfect pup, Rigatoni (Tony).

Tyler proposed to Katelyn at the very spot where he first saw her—and where they first met—outside St. John’s Catholic Church at Creighton University. Later that evening, he surprised her with a celebration surrounded by their family and friends from Minnesota and Omaha at his parents, Amy & Rick's house!
