We first saw each other at a bible study, and ended up meeting at a later bible study at Tiliti's house. There were also multiple times of being at a friend's house for bible study as well. Katelyn would drive Tiliti to these bible studies, which turned into spending a lot of time together outside including studying together while still being in school, walking around campus together, working out together, grocery shopping together, and eating meals together while on break between classes and football practices/meetings. We started going to True Hope Church together, and quickly became integrated into each other's lives. By this time, we ended up spending a lot of time together. Tiliti asked Katelyn to be his girlfriend on May 11th, 2024 in Spokane. Just so happened there were the northern lights being shown that night. After a full year: college graduation, baptism, long-distance after a month of dating, 1st-year collegiate football coach, Christmas away from family, starting a life-group, starting a business, family moving away, moving into a new house, Physical Therapy school graduation, studying for board’s exam, discipleship, groomsmen in wedding, and probably a lot more… Tiliti decided to propose on June 20th, 2025 back at home on Maui. Now we can say that we have become partners within each other's lives and have been able to grow in our relationship as we learn to keep Jesus at the center through everything. There is a relationship analogy we love stating that a relationship with your partner is like a triangle: as the two (bottom corners) are able to grow closer to God (the top), then by default grow closer to each other. We are very excited to continue to grow our relationship together and to step into this commitment and covenant together with our loved ones by our side. We understand that together we represent the love of God, therefore we hand over this marriage to Him.
