The story of Katelyn and Shavy began in the spring semester of 2013 when Shavy first laid eyes on Kate while walking on campus at SFA. He tried to ask her to date him a dozen times throughout their time together at SFA and she kept him in the friend zone every time. After graduation they went their separate ways and it wasn’t until the Spring of 2018 that Shavy tried one last time to win Kate’s heart. Lucky for him (and of course for her too), she decided that it was finally time to give him a chance! Kate and Shavy very quickly fell in love and within a few months of dating knew that this was forever. They began planning who would make the move to which city, and where they would start their lives. Kate won that discussion and Shavy started making plans to move to Houston. On May 11, 2019 Shavy got down on one knee and asked Kate to spend forever with him. Of course she said yes! They celebrated and very quickly moved into wedding planning. On May 15th their world took another turn when they found out they were expecting a baby! Sweet Adelyn Rae will make her appearance in January 2020. Kate and Shavy’s hearts are so full, enjoying life together in Houston and cannot wait to share their special day with all of you!!
