Matron of Honor
If there's one person who knows Katelyn best, it's Shelby, Katelyn's cousin. Katelyn and Shelby became inseparable when the Peardons moved to Fayetteville. They'll never understand how bad Katelyn needed that. Shelby was there for the entirety of Katelyn's teenage years. She's also been there for Renee in moments when she needed a listening ear. Renee especially enjoys her gullibility, because it makes her fun to mess with. Having her as Katelyn's Matron of Honor was not even a question.
Maid of Honor
Ashlyn is Renee’s big sister, and in many ways, her opposite. Where Renee is calm and collected, Ashlyn is spirited and loud. Growing up, this meant Renee always had someone looking out for her in a big way. Ashlyn has a heart of gold, a deep loyalty to the people she loves, and a quiet strength that grounds those around her. She welcomed Katelyn into the family without hesitation, and there’s no one better suited to stand by Renee’s side on such an important day.
Best Man
Evan has been Katelyn's best friend ever since they met in college in the fall of 2018. They quickly realized that they had the same sense of humor, same taste in music, and a million other things in common. Convinced that they must be estranged siblings, Katelyn and Evan have stayed close through the ups and downs of growing up ever since. Oh, and Evan hit Renee's new truck with a trailer.
Bridesmaid
Renee and Katelyn know Kaylie from being in Zeta Tau Alpha together. When Renee joined, she gravitated towards Kaylie after they both decided to swim in a flooded area of campus. Kaylie, Renee, and Katelyn were roommates, Renee and Kaylie were coworkers, then Katelyn and Kaylie were coworkers, and now, finally, they're all just best friends enjoying watching each other grow families of their own.
Bridesmaid
Lainey became friends with Renee and Katelyn shortly after she joined Zeta Tau Alpha. Effortlessly funny, Lainey brings the kind of energy every friend needs. She is also great at the worm, and will definitely do it at the reception if you ask her. But beyond the jokes, she’s deeply loyal, endlessly supportive, and one of the first people you’d call in both a crisis and a celebration. She’s been part of so many memories over the years, and they wouldn’t want to celebrate this one without her.
Bridesmaid
Renee met Jordan while she and Kaylie were working at David's Bridal, and they quickly adopted her into the friend group. Once Katelyn and Jordan found out they had so much in common, the rest was history. She's a hard worker, wise beyond her years, and values her equilibrium. She's pretty busy being the youngest in the party, trying to juggle a full-time job and graduating college while her friends make her be a Bridesmaid. Good thing she's a good sport.
Bridesmaid
Sam is light and warmth in human form – the kind of person who makes you feel better just by being in the room. She is nurturing, unconditionally loving, and has a rare gift for making everyone feel seen and safe. Renee and Katelyn told Sam they were together before almost anyone else, and she’s been cheering them on ever since. She is a constant source of love, strength, and encouragement.
Bridesman
Reed is Kaylie's longtime boyfriend turned husband. When Renee became close to Kaylie, she saw more and more of Reed and enjoyed spending time with him. She attended many of their dates as their third wheel and, strangely, never paid for her own meal. A regular attendee to girl's nights, Reed has become integrated into Renee and Katelyn's life as family.
Bridesmaid
Katelyn drug Bekah into her sorority and her life in 2020. Katelyn was serving as president at the time, and simply would not take no for an answer. They became fast friends, growing closer during a cabin trip where Renee and Bekah vowed to “provide for their people”. Their memories consist of constant laughs and unconditional support, and they can’t wait to make more.
Bridesman
Nate is Bekah’s husband, but he’s also become a true friend to both Renee and Katelyn over the years. Funny and kind, Nate has a way of making everyone feel welcome and heard. He’s an expert in girl talk and will say what others won’t — sometimes for the better, usually for the worse. He’s been part of their lives for a long time, and the wedding party wouldn’t be complete without him.
Bridesmaid
Kat is one of Katelyn's best friends from high school. She's the person you go to when you think you might be wrong about something, because she supports her friend's rights and wrongs. Kat and Katelyn have a lot of history and memories between them, from exploring Europe to hosting their school's talk show (no one watched it). If you don't see her at the wedding, don't be alarmed – she's due for having a baby boy the week after!
Bridesman
Travis is Shelby’s husband and Katelyn’s cousin-in-law. While he finds Katelyn quite annoying, he absolutely adores Renee, and spent a fair amount of time trying to talk her out of this whole wedding thing. Thankfully, he failed, and the natural consequence was making him be in it. All jokes aside, Travis isn’t just family, he’s one of Renee and Katelyn’s closest friends. They’re incredibly thankful for his constant support and proud to have him by their side.
Officiant
Jen was Renee’s youth group leader throughout her teenage years and somehow made it through all her mood swings with love and grace still intact. More than a mentor, Jen was a guiding light; someone Renee trusted as a confidante, role model, and friend. When Jen met Katelyn, she welcomed her in just as effortlessly. Having Jen officiate their wedding is a full-circle moment, and a blessing they don’t take lightly. Her presence is a reminder to celebrate joyfully with Jesus in the good times, and to lean on Him in the hard ones.
