As many know, Katelyn and Phil were introduced to one another while Katelyn was working as a server at Blowing Rock Brewery and Phil was sitting at the bar. The bartender shouted, "hey Katelyn, this is Phil, he's single, so are you!" Within the next couple of days, Katelyn asked the bartender to invite Phil to the Town Tavern the night before he left for a work trip to Japan. Phil got her number at the end of the night, and he texted her when he returned from Japan two weeks later. Seven and a half years later, the two were engaged while visiting an island off of Hiroshima, in Japan! A full circle moment.
