Travel & Hotels

The venue, Moss Vineyards, is 25-30 minutes from Charlottesville. We recommend staying at one of the hotel blocks we have listed below, but Charlottesville has many hotels and AirBnB listings if you prefer to look elsewhere! You are welcome to use our provided shuttles to get to and from the venue even if you are not staying at one of our hotel blocks.

Travel Note

Driving To Moss Vineyards

The venue is remote and cell service can be spotty, so we recommend downloading offline maps of the area. There is a tricky fork to be aware of when heading from Charlottesville to the venue. On the way, you will turn right from Buck Mountain Road onto Simmons Gap Road. After you are on Simmons Gap Road for a little over 0.4 of a mile (just past 140 Simmons Gap Road), you will come to a fork between Simmons Gap Road and Buffalo River Road. You must turn left to stay on Simmons Gap Road to continue toward the venue. Also please note that your GPS will take you to the beginning of a gravel road. Please allow time for an additional half mile on this gravel road to arrive at the venue. Free parking is available in the parking lot and grass next to the winery.

Travel Note

Driving From Moss Vineyards

If you are traveling from the venue back to Charlottesville, once you have traveled about 5.7 miles on Simmons Gap Road, you will come to a stop sign at the fork of Simmons Gap Road and Buffalo River Road. After stopping, you should take a slight right to continue on Simmons Gap Road.
