Mike and Kate met within the early weeks of Kate's time at Salisbury, thanks to an introduction by her suite mate (and now bridesmaid), Megan, who was friends with Mike's roommate. Since Mike and Kate had the evening to themselves a date night was suggested. Mike and Kate kicked off the evening at Sunset Grille, savoring happy hour delights (Mike needed a little liquid courage). As the sun dipped low, Mike proposed to Kate at an impromptu beach photo shoot. To Kate's delight, a picturesque scene awaited—roses, music, and champagne. With a heartfelt proposal, Kate joyfully accepted, marking the beginning of their wedding journey.
