We’re getting married!

2004 was a year Katelyn and Kyle would never forget…though at the time, they wouldn’t understand why. Like his classmates and friends, Kyle was looking forward to his senior year for the football games, his final season with the varsity baseball team, prom, and meeting his future wife. Wait! What?! Rewind to fall of 2004. Entering her freshman year of high school, Katelyn was excited for her new journey. Her journey was filled with new beginnings…a new school, new teachers, new friends, new softball/field hockey teammates and new boys! Little did she know, her reputation proceeded her, and everyone was talking about this extraordinary freshman athlete that just happened to have the brightest green eyes that could light up a room! The first time Katelyn crossed Kyle’s path in the hallway, he was in awe! Too shy to say anything, Kyle never had the courage to strike up a conversation. Little did he know, while he was too busy shying away from conversation, Katelyn had the biggest crush on him! Katelyn would see Kyle at the YMCA, secretly wait near the baseball locker room to see him run out on game days, and attend parties knowing he would be there. Their final year of high school together had come and gone and neither of them worked up the courage to tell the other how they felt. Fast forward to 2016… college had come and gone, several career moves had taken them out of town (and out of state), and through destiny, they found themselves both not only living in Lancaster County, BUT in the same bar! Kyle saw Katelyn sitting across the room at Annie Baileys and she was even MORE beautiful than he remembered. After an enjoyable conversation filled with laughter, they were inseparable from that night on. Dating for two and half years, their love story continued in Charleston, SC where Kyle planned a surprise proposal and Katelyn said YES! While not every love story has a happy ending, their story is the greatest love story this town has ever seen!
