Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. If you are unsure of what colors to wear, just think Fall. No jeans or t-shirts, please. If you intend to wear heels, we recommend a chunky heel due to the terrain of the venue.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time. Please be seated by 2:40pm. Once you arrive at the park, you will have to check in at the front gate and there will be a couple of miles to drive into the park to arrive at the Wehle Center. This is where the reception will take place as well as where you will park. Transportation will be provided to the ceremony site and back to the reception site.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the Old House Site. The reception will take place at the Wehle Center. Both of these are located in Historic Blakley State Park in Spanish Fort, AL.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors. The reception will offer indoor seating with outdoor entertainment.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Guests will be escorted to the reception location for cocktail hour.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Is transportation provided?

Answer

You may drive to the wedding venue where parking is available at the Wehle Center. Transportation is not provided to or from the park.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Once you enter the park, please follow the signs present along the road and the map to the Wehle Center to park. Parking is free and will be clearly marked.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is September 30th. Please complete your RSVP online.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

There will be light snacks and drinks provided.

Gifts are not required or requested but if you would like to contribute, a small donation to our honeymoon fund would be greatly appreciated.

Yes! We recommend visiting the 'Things to Do' page of our website, where we've have listed some things to do in the area, including coffee and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.

The venue does not allow liquor. Beer, wine and seltzer will be provided along with multiple non-alcoholic options via open bar.
