On this day, I had to work. When I got home Joshua surprised me with a date away from the kids to Ocean City, Maryland. We drove the almost hour to Ocean City and we stopped for gas once we arrived. That was when Joshua realized he forgot his wallet at home, so we filled up on gas and turned around to go home. I was a little bummed thinking that the date was a bust, but still had fun talking and laughing on the car ride home. Once we got home, he jumped out of the car quickly, ran inside, and back out before I could ever get out of the car fully. This date was not over yet, so we drove back to Ocean City. Once we got there we went to the boardwalk and walked around until we found a bar. It was my first time going to a bar, so l was a little nervous and excited. We ordered a couple drinks and I quickly realized I did not like any of the drinks there. After we left there, we went to Ripleys Believe It or Not and we had the best time laughing, playing, reading the facts, and overall having an amazing time with each other. After Ripleys, we went over to Thrashers and waited in line to get fries. While in line, we were talking about what we wanted to do next - walk down to the water, get dinner, and head home. We got our fries and began walking down to the beach, we were right next to the pier. We decided to walk under the pier to get to the other side of the beach so we could take a photo at the shoreline. He said he was going to put his camera on a timer and I said, Okay! I will too! So, I put my phone on a timer and we ran out in front of our phones. I was getting ready to pose and looked over at Joshua to see him dropping down on one knee, asking me to marry him. I was so surprised but of course said yes! The photo you see is the photo my phone captured. Joshua did not put his camera on a timer, but instead he recorded the whole thing. The whole day was a dream come true. Even though we had to drive home and come back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
