Ferry Info

Dear wedding guests, We could not be more excited to celebrate our wedding with you in Block Island in just a few short months! We wanted to give everyone some updates on the ferry information as we know this can be a confusing process. We have included detailed instructions below. Please note: If you are staying downtown a car is not required as the Island is very walkable! Only a bonus if you plan to stay beyond the wedding or want to further explore the Island. Car rentals are also available on the island. Links to the ferry websites are also provided below. Point Judith: https://www.blockislandferry.com/schedules-fares/pt-judith-traditional-schedule New London: https://www.goblockisland.com/ If you still have questions please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We appreciate everyone traveling near and far to help us celebrate our special day! Love, Katelyn & Joe
Question

Ferry Info

Answer

If you are coming from CT, the New London high speed ferry will be running on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at this time of year. This ferry does not provide transportation for cars, only passengers. If you plan to arrive on Friday, the ferry times that you can take are 8.30am or 11.50am and the ferry takes approximately 1.5 hours total. Reservations are open to start booking. If coming from anywhere else (i.e. Buffalo), if you plan to bring your car, or if you are arriving any sooner than Friday, the best ferry to take would be the Point Judith Ferry. Their high speed ferry is not running this time of year so you will take the traditional ferry. Travel time is approx. 55 minutes to the Island. This ferry also transports cars and if you plan on bringing yours we highly recommend booking this ASAP as car reservations are already almost sold out. Car ferry reservations must be made via telephone. Passenger reservations are currently not yet available for the Point Judith ferry.
