Sagrada Família
This is an iconic site in Barcelona and we recommend taking it in. In case you want to see the inside, this must be booked in advance with a specific timeslot. We recommend doing so at least a few weeks in advance to ensure availability.
Walking Route from Sagrada Familia (3h tour)
If you have a morning to explore Barcelona, we recommend you to take a 3h stroll seeing some of the highlights. Start at Sagrada Familia, then follow the very happening Sant Joan avenue until you reach the magnificent Arc du Triomf. Head to Parc Ciutadella and capture beautiful shots at the Gaudi fountain. Follow the path to the trendy neighborhood of Born and explore its old streets and shops - don't miss the majestic Basilica Santa Maria del Mar and we recommend you to try the cheesecake in Funky bakers (amazing) and the mouth watering pistacchio croissants in Patisserie Hofmann. Finally, cross Laietana avenue to reach the Gothic quartier where you can explore the cathedral and finish by enjoying a nice gelato at Gelaaati di Marco.
Park Güell
Like the Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, is an iconic site in Barcelona with some of the most famous works of Gaudi. It is also recommended to book tickets well in advance to ensure availability. Note that the travel time to/from the Parc is quite long depending upon the location of your accommodations.
Casa Batlló
One of the most famous Gaudi houses. Worthwhile to see the facade, but also to enter if you wish. Tickets should be reserved online ahead.
L’Aquàrium de Barcelona
We love the aquarium in Barcelona. It's perfect to beat the heat for a few hours, especially great for families and its location near Barceloneta would let you join it with a stop at the beach.
Jardins de Mossèn Costa i Llobera
Great place for a walk in nature, at a botanical garden full of cactuses. From here you can hike up to see the view over Barcelona from the Miramar Hotel, then either take the gondola (teleferico) or continue your walk up to the castle at the top of Montjuic, also finding the funicular as another option for heading back down the mountain.
Cerveceria Catalana
Find here classic spanish tapas. PS be ready to wait in a line, but it is worth it (no reservations taken)
Restaurant Can Lampazas
This is a Galician restaurant famous for Octopus. We recommend reserving for large groups.
Maná 75
This is one of our preferred places for Paella in Barcelona. (If you join in Tossa de Mar - we will recommend some options there as well so that you can try Spanish rice)

Muralles de Tossa de Mar
Join us in Tossa de Mar and visit this great castle that overlooks the main beach and a small cove behind.
Playas en Tossa de Mar
There are two beaches directly in Tossa de Mar, the main one and a second one that is a smaller cove behind the Castle. Additionally, there are several calas (coves) that you can hike to.
Restaurant El Petit
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Tossa. We recommend taking a menu and trying one of the rice dishes.
Bar La Lluna
Great place for a drink and some tapas inside the streets of the castle.
Portal Restaurant
Our favorite restaurant here! They serve unique, elevated tapas. We may need reservations.
