It all started on December 19th, 2019 when Katelyn and Gabe decided to go out on a date to the Cheesecake Factory. They talked all night and they both quickly realized that the other person was someone that was going to play a special part in their lives. Gradually over 5 years, they got closer and closer and also moved closer and closer to each other until they eventually moved in together. Over time, they added a cat, Nova, and a dog, Leo, to their family and with that, their home was complete. On April 9th, 2025 Gabe decided to take Katelyn to one of her favorite places in the world-the Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City. This place was special to both of them as this is the place they had their second date-they tried to go on the first date but the museum was closed by the time they got there! They had a picnic on the front lawn of the museum, which was something Katelyn had been wanting to do forever. As they were picnic-ing, Gabe started playing a song called "Let's Get Married" by Bleachers (one of their favorite songs). Then, he pulled out a ring, she said yes, and here we are! We are so excited to spend our special day with each and every one of you!
