Shortly after I began working at Paradise By the Slice, I was lucky enough to meet the manager whom I now get to call my fiance. We became work friends that grew into best friends. We each had our own relationships - I was dating my high school boyfriend and he was just, well, dating. During that time, we would look to one another for advice on how to deal with our various relationship woes; however, it quickly became apparent that we only had woes because we weren't with the right people. As our other relationships ended and we grew closer, Erik finally gained the courage to take me on a date and ask me to be his girlfriend. We immediately fell in love on that date and never looked back.

In February, we went on a trip to Vegas with Erik's boss and his wife. While in Vegas, we tossed up the typical "when in Vegas" question of should we or should we not elope? We decided against elopement and returned home. The idea of getting engaged lingered for several months until we finally made it happen during our trip to Asheville, North Carolina. Erik had taken me to a delicious steakhouse for dinner followed by an intimate bar for dessert and drinks. We discussed getting engaged throughout dinner and dessert but the idea seemed distant. Little did I know he was planning on proposing that night. As we departed our final restaurant and approached the car, Erik had pulled me aside and handed me a leather-bound book. In the book was a beautifully written letter detailing our relationship and acknowledging just how much our love has grown over the years. While I read his romantic letter, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend my life with him. Tears were shed between us both as we drowned in sheer joy. After four years and a beautiful baby girl, we made the leap to become Mr. and Mrs. Arizmendi. We hope you all are as excited as we are to begin celebrating the beginning of forever.
