We met through friends of friends at a Valentine's Day party that Domingo didn't know he would be attending. We talked with each other for most of the night when finally, over a slice of late night pizza, Katelyn asked Domingo if he was going to ask for her number! After talking for a week Domingo asked Katelyn to go on our first date, which included hopping around Charlotte + sushi. Since then, they have been inseparable!

In true Domingo fashion, he carried the ring around for months waiting for THE perfect moment. Little did we know, that perfect moment would be at Katelyn's niece's birthday in Kernersville (Katelyn's hometown). Katelyn was taking a photo with her niece & next thing she knew, Domingo was down on one knee behind them, in front of the whole Freeman family! After the sudden surprised shock (and uttering to him "What are you doing?") ... Katelyn remembered to say YES!
