It all started on a day in 2022 when Katelyn thought she was just going to Ryerson Pool with her Pap. Little did she know, that was the start of forever. Colin came up to Katelyn and her sister to ask how they were and where they were from. Then he asked how old they were, and next thing you know, he was asking for my number (LOL). As soon as we left the pool, Colin and I started texting and hanging out shortly after. It seemed like we were together as much as humanly possible, even with both of us working and being in school when summer ended. Katelyn made sure to make it to all of Colin's football games and school events. The two of us clicked instantly and started dating only a few weeks after meeting. Katelyn even spent the next summer sitting at the pool all day until Colin got off work (haha). Whether it was at one of their parents' houses, grandparents', or even going out, we always found a way to see each other. Next thing you know, a year had gone by and it was hard to believe. Katelyn graduated and started her career while Colin had another year of school left. They took a few trips and did as much as possible together that summer. Then Colin went back to school and Katelyn made the trips all year for sports, banquets, and parties—you name it, I tried my best to be there. Colin’s graduation was short and sweet, and then we moved in together at Katelyn’s parents' house. It was a bit weird living together for the first time and took some adjusting! But after the year we bought our first home together!!! We also added some fur babies we love so much:) It seemed like no time at all before two, then three years passed. Our three-year anniversary was a little different than the rest, though. We got pictures taken with Jenn, and while Katelyn had some idea of what was happening, they officially got ENGAGED! It was such a sweet day. As we soaked in all the newly-engaged feelings we knew we didn't want to wait long for a wedding. Then we started planning immediately: bands were bought, the venue was picked, and the wedding party and date were decided. Katelyn found her dress after about a month, and it was an instant "yes" the moment she tried it on. As the planning continued we ended up where we are now! We appreciate everyone who has been part of our lives more than we could ever be able to express. Colin and Katelyn love you all and are so grateful to celebrate together in May!
