About Us
Met in January 2020, at one of San Diego's staple karaoke bars. Katelyn told her friends the next day that she met a "hot European man," and the rest is history! They talked for awhile before having their first official date (pic above). They both knew this was special. Caner was lovingly nicknamed "JP" soon after, and here's the official story behind that: beautiful bridesmaid, Grace, mistook his name Caner (pronounced "John-air") for "Jon-Pierre," and that got shortened to JP. It clearly stuck, just like Katelyn's nickname, Katcha! 2020 turned into an interesting year (we all know why), and there's no better test for loving someone than being stuck in an apartment for months on end. Cooking, puzzles, games, and lots of family time proved these two were in it for life!
