Welcome to our love story.

We met while working on 4 North, a med-surg unit at Troy Beaumont. The first time Katelyn Couch saw Brian at huddle, she immediately thought he was cute and started referring to him as “the cute nurse” to her family. For months, Brian tried to strike up conversations while Katelyn always seemed to find a reason to slip away. Eventually, he discovered her love for chocolate milk and started sending her pictures of it just to get her attention. A few months later, a coworker hosted a pool party. Brian helped get Katelyn’s shift covered so she could attend, and that night they shared their first kiss. In December 2019, Brian asked Katelyn to be his girlfriend, and over the next five years they built a life full of laughter, adventure, and love. From scary movie nights and ice cream runs to cozy evenings at home with their two cats, Winnie and Julius, they’ve learned that even the simplest moments are better together. The proposal was completely spontaneous and perfectly them. During karaoke at their friends’ annual murder mystery party, Katelyn was singing Love Story when Brian got down on one knee. It was joyful, heartfelt, and unforgettable. It was a love story, and now they get to say yes.
