Most of you know that we met in high school. Katelyn was a freshman and Brian was a junior (Laura and Julia will fight over who set us up). Brian asked Katelyn to prom and the rest was history. Five days short of nine years together we FINALLY got engaged!

We try to take an annual trip down to Florida to visit Katelyn's Aunt Elaine, Uncle Jeff, and her cousin Jack. Brian asked Katelyn's Aunt and Uncle's permission to propose to her while visiting them and would secretly message Aunt Elaine on Snapchat (really Snapchat lol). A month before, Brian took Katrina and Marge to pick out a ring. He shipped the ring to Florida and had our friend little Gab make our engagement sign. Brian and Katelyn's talented Aunt spoke about the how, when, and where and came up with something that was totally up Katelyn's alley! Brian hired a picnic service to set up the best Instagram picture moment and hired a photographer. They told Katelyn they were going out to dinner for Jacks birthday so Katelyn was not at all expecting what was about to happen. We walked on the beach and Katelyn dropped all of her belongings on the ground and instant tears ran down her face. The moment Katelyn had been waiting nine years for was FINALLY happening! We got our pictures, then went to the dinner Katelyn had originally thought we were going to. Waiting there was Katrina, Aunt Megan, Brynne, Dana, and Jack. Katelyn couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect engagement surrounded by her favorite people!
