Katelyn & Brian grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, and their parents were friends from town. However, Katelyn and Brian didn’t meet until after high school. Katelyn saw Brian at an Irish Pub, loudly walking up to him, saying “heyyy I drive your car!” (Only time hank is referred to as Brians). Brian’s response: “who the heck are you.” Few years later, they stumble into each other again at the infamous 4th of July beer pit. Where again, very loudly, Katelyn walks over to Brian yelling “heyyy its Hank’s dad” - forcing a selfie upon him. Flash forward to 2018, Katelyn is finally done with college. Working at Lazy Lanigan’s. Brian is newly single and his parents keep bringing him in for dinner. Katelyn starts to think, hmmm he might like her but she REALLY can’t tell. Danny Lavin, one of Brian’s besties is in one night with a couple of the crew. And he goes to Brian “hey conns, she is pretty cute, you should ask her out” Couple pints later, few miscommunications, pancho date, and a direct “so what are we doing here?” question - and here we are - brian & katelyn’s wedding 💜
If you couldn't tell by now, Hank is a major part of Katelyn & Brian's love story. So when Hank was stolen off the streets of Wood Ridge, Katelyn was unable to function. That night, in an attempt to cheer Katelyn up, Brian proposed with a tin foil ring - adding some humor to a bad situation. However, by some miracle Hank was found and return to his rightful owners. Once returned Katelyn's family encouraged her to finally take that photoshoot with Hank & Brian that they have always talked about. So without even realizing it, Katelyn began to plan her own proposal without even knowing it. On the morning of December 4th 2021, Katelyn & Brian made their way to Van Saun Park to meet Katelyn's sisters who were going play photographer for the day. Once the photoshoot began, Katelyn couldn't be happier, with the even more surprising factor that Brian agreed to a photoshoot since the man has hated photos since 1993. There in the back of Hank;s trunk, Brian finally popped the question .. "You Down? It's not tinfoil" & after a few "is that real?" "are you proposing to me?" questions, Katelyn said yes & so the celebrating began!
