What’s the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our wedding celebrates a vibrant "pastel sunset theme," and we'd love for you to embrace the spirit of the day with colorful, semi-formal attire. We're envisioning a palette of reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, and purples woven throughout the celebration. We kindly ask that you wear polished, dressy outfits in bright, cheerful colors—think vibrant dress shirts, suits, or colorful dresses. Please avoid jeans, shorts, and flip-flops. As a gentle note, we also ask that you refrain from wearing white, cream, or beige, as we'd like to reserve white shades for the bride and also please refrain from wearing all black to try and keep our day as “garden party” as possible! **For our male guests:** Pair a colorful dress shirt with slacks, or opt for a full colored suit. Black dress pants also work beautifully when styled with a vibrant top. **For our female guests:** Consider a bright floor-length or tea-length dress, or style a colorful skirt with a dressy top.

How and when should I RSVP

Answer

We ask you to RSVP by June 1st, 2027. You can easily confirm your attendance through the RSVP tab on our wedding website or by contacting 816-803-6111. Please note that we will not accept responses after our deadline due to vendor needs. If you are unable to join us we kindly ask that you still let us know!

Are plus-ones allowed?

We're thrilled you'll be celebrating with us! Due to our venue's capacity and our careful planning, we're only able to welcome those listed on your invitation. We've thoughtfully curated our guest list around our closest family and friends, and we're unable to accommodate additional requests. We appreciate your understanding.

Can I bring my children?

We appreciate you asking! Unfortunately, we've decided to keep this celebration adults-only with the exception of the children in the wedding party. We hope you understand, and we look forward to celebrating with you.

Do you have a registry or gift list?

Answer

Yes, we do! You'll find our registry conveniently linked on this website. We kindly ask that gifts and cards be mailed to the address listed on our registry rather than brought to the wedding itself—this helps us keep the day stress-free and organized. Thank you for your thoughtfulness!

Is it okay to post photos of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We ask that guests wait to share photos or videos from our wedding on social media until after we have posted our own. This allows us to personally announce and celebrate our special moments before they are shared more widely. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us keep our day as intimate and personal as possible.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, which means we ask guests do not take photos or videos during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing professional photographer to capture these moments and promise to share all the photos once we receive them. This helps ensure an intimate atmosphere while also preventing devices from interfering with the ceremony or professional photos. We ask that all phones be silenced and put away until the ceremony has concluded. Please respect our decision, we will not regret it! Once the ceremony is over, you are absolutely welcome to take as many photos and videos as you’d like during cocktail hour and the reception - and we encourage you to capture the fun and celebrate with us!
