What will the weather be like?
Answer
Welcome to Louisville, all of you out-of-towners! The weather during October can be a gamble. During the day, the weather in Louisville should be beautiful, historically averaging 70 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening!

When will the ceremony be held?
Answer
We will be holding a private ceremony with only close family on Thursday October 3, 2024. The larger reception will be held on the following Saturday October 5.

What should I wear?

Please feel free to dress as comfortably as you like, or as fancy as you like! This will be a casual barbecue reception with food, drinks, karaoke, and dancing!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Answer
Taking phone pictures is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. We decided to skip having a professional photographer for the reception, and will have a QR to upload photos at the event.

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
Answer
The reception will be held at 1228 E. Breckinridge St., Louisville, KY 40204. While Louisville has plenty of lodging available throughout the city, the following hotels are some that are closest to the reception location: The Myriad Hotel- $$$ 900 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204 Tempo by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu- $$ 710 E Jefferson St, Louisville, KY 40202 Home2 Suites by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu- $$ 240 S Hancock St, Louisville, KY 40202 Quality Inn & Suites University/Airport- $ 311 E Gaulbert Ave, Louisville, KY 40208 We encourage you to find accomodations asap, as the St. James Art Show will also be happening the same weekend and lodging may book up quickly.

Where should I park?
Answer
There is plenty of free parking in the rear of the venue. However, we suggest getting an Uber or Lyft for the evening.

Other than the reception, what activities can we do in Louisville?
Answer
Louisville boasts great food, bourbon, and tons to do for the whole family! The St. James Court Art Show will also be going on during this weekend if you want to find something free to do during the day. Please reach out to the bride or groom for further suggestions!

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Kids are welcome at the reception. However, in order to allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we encourage you to find child care for the evening.
