In the summer of 2014, Kate was living in New York City for an internship before her senior year at Connecticut College. Daniel had just moved back to New York City to begin a legal assistant job after graduating from Brandeis. As the summer began, Kate’s close childhood friend Shelby was catching up with Daniel, her friend from Brandeis, and she had an idea. “I’d love for you and my friend to connect, she doesn't really know the city or anyone in it...” Shortly after, Kate and Daniel first met over sangria in the West Village, joined by their friend Shelby, who had sneakily neglected to inform Kate that it was a setup! Turns out Shelby knew what she was doing. Exactly 11 years from the day Kate and Daniel first met, and after many adventures, from living in Boston to visiting family in California and Australia, to exploring Japan, and to their engagement in the Isle of Skye in Scotland and many more, they’ll be celebrating their wedding in Brooklyn!
