If you’re coming in early, staying a bit longer, or just want something to do between wedding events, here are a few San José del Cabo favorites worth exploring.
Whale Watching
February is the best time of year to see whales in Cabo. You can take a boat tour from the nearby marina (next to El Ganzo) and see them breaching or cruising right alongside the boat. We went through Salty Cabo to book our tour and loved it.
Go Snorkeling or Paddleboarding
Want to get in the water? Chileno Bay has clear, calm water that’s great for snorkeling or paddleboarding. It’s not far, and it’s a solid option if you’ve got a free morning or afternoon.
Indulge in a Spa Day
Both El Ganzo and JW Marriott offer top-notch spa experiences—perfect for a little pre-wedding pampering.
Walk Around the Historic Town Square
Check out the old mission church, then stroll around Plaza Mijares for cute shops, street vendors, and people-watching. It’s an easy outing, only a short drive from the hotels.
