A car is not necessary, especially if you choose to stay at The Colony Hotel. Getting around downtown Kennebunkport is very walkable, and the Colony is roughly a mile away from the center of downtown. Ubers are available the majority of the day. For our wedding events, everything is within a few minutes walking or on the Colony property. For guests in other hotels and Airbnbs, you can rely on Ubers, although plan for extra time as they can be slow!
Portland International Jetport (PWM) is a 40 minute drive and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is a 120 minute drive. Ubers and rental cars are available for transportation from either airport to Kennebunkport.
Maine's summers are very mild. It is typically warm during the day and can cool off significantly at night, especially on the water. We will be directly across from the beach, so we suggest a light wrap or jacket to layer when the sun goes down.
