We’re getting married!

Some love stories begin with fireworks—ours started in middle school hallways, and the kind of innocent glances only teenagers could understand. Though we first crossed paths all those years ago, it wasn’t until high school in 2015 that the spark really lit. Kate may have made the first move (and definitely did the most flirting) in the classrooms we shared. That summer, she gave Tyler her Snapchat, so they could talk over summer. When sophomore year kicked off, we ran into each other at a football game, and right outside the stadium lights, Tyler asked Kate to be his girlfriend. That night marked the beginning of a new chapter. We grew up together, through high school and into college. But like many young love stories, ours took a pause. We went our separate ways, dated other people, and grew into ourselves. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary—we needed time to grow individually before we could grow together. God, however, had other plans. A few years later, we both found ourselves newly single, within the same month. Our paths crossed again, this time with the maturity and understanding that only time can give. As we reconnected, our bond felt familiar but stronger—like coming home. At one point, Kate, unsure of where things were going, tried to let go. But the very same night, she asked Tyler to grab Mexican food and margaritas "just as friends” with some other friends. All evening Tyler was making nonstop jokes about being “just friends” which ended up leaded up to saying, “I love you" again—and this time, we knew it for sure. That was the moment we realized: this is forever. After two and a half more years of loving each other with intention—and half a year of building a home together—Tyler got down on one knee and asked the question that had been written in our stars for years. Now, we’re here, inviting you to be part of the next chapter in our love story. We can't wait to say “I do,” surrounded by the people who have supported us through every twist and turn.
