July 24th please! This is important to make sure we get the food and dinnerware orders right. Also it gives us time to brainstorm if you need help with transportation or anything else. Please email kateandtarekswedding@gmail.com with RSVPs and any questions.
Please do! But be aware we are planning to serve meals family-style so we cannot absolutely guarantee cross-contamination will not occur. That said, we likely are already aware of your dietary restrictions and are working with the catering company to ensure you have plenty of options (because we love you!). Please shoot us an email anyway if you are concerned so that we can be certain we don't miss anyone. kateandtarekswedding@gmail.com by July 24. For the reception dinner, the RSVP option under the Schedule tab allows you to specify what entree you would like.
Yes, right here! See the Registry tab for our wishlist. That said, the best gift you could give us you are probably already considering--your attendance! Anything on top of that is unnecessary but strongly appreciated. If you are the kind of person who writes checks (not everyone does these days, especially those who grew up with smartphones), we would greatly appreciate a check made directly out to either Kate Watkins *or* Tarek Elsayed. The “or” is important for purposes of the check being accepted by the bank of deposit. We are in the process of moving into our first home, adopting a pet, and planning a honeymoon, all while juggling grad school--so any monetary assistance will go a long way! We are truly grateful for your support. To access the registry from anywhere, the link is www.zola.com/registry/kateandtarek
To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children under 12.
All guests were named on the Save the Dates and will be on the Invitations as well. We are planning an intimate gathering with our closest friends and family, so we hope you will understand that there unfortunately was not space for everyone to bring a plus one. That said, if your date was listed with you on your Save the Date or Invitation, you're in luck!
Yes, cocktail attire please! Dress to make your grandma proud. Basically no t shirts, flip flops, shorts, or loungewear please. We hope you will wear what makes you feel your best.
Absolutely, see the Travel tab. We have two hotel blocks, one at the wedding venue in a beautiful, historic inn, the other at a lower price point in the same small town. Both hotels were recently renovated and offer limited free breakfast.
See the Travel tab. We may be able to help, just be sure you email kateandtarekswedding@gmail.com by July 24 if you anticipate you will not have a car and need transportation.
Yes, there is plenty of parking available within a block or minute's walk from The Colonial Inn. For free parking: there are about 10 parking spots along King St, 53 spots behind Antonias and The Nomad, and the top two levels of the Weaver St Coop Hillsborough deck reserved exclusively for Colonial Inn guests on weekends.
These will be updated under the Wedding Schedule tab as we get closer to the date. Please reach out to kateandtarekswedding@gmail.com if you have any specific requests. It will be a very busy time so we may not get to see everyone before the wedding, but we will be sure to have a chat at the reception! The Travel tab will house recommendations for local attractions that are not part of the schedule, but which we still recommend if you have some free time. We love this area and we're excited to share it with you, especially if you're coming from out-of-state...welcome!
Please arrive by 4:45. Doors will open by 4:30 and the ceremony will start at 5. It may take a minute to find your seat so we'd rather you have time to find a spot with a good view and talk to your neighbor.
