Travel & Accommodations

Welcome to Chicago, our home! We're proud to call this city ours and we hope you enjoy your visit. Currently in the city of Chicago, there are no masking or vaccination requirements, however you will need to wear a mask when riding on public transportation or in a ride share.

Flight

O'Hare Airport & Midway Airport

Chicago has two airports you can fly into! O'Hare Airport on the northwest side of the city and Midway Airport on the southwest side of the city. O'Hare features domestic airlines such as Delta, American, United, while Midway is primarily home to Southwest Airlines.

Train

Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)

When arriving to Chicago at either airport, you can take the CTA (the 'L') directly into the city by hopping on the Blue Line toward Forest Park from O'Hare or taking the Orange Line toward the Loop from Midway. The train is faster than driving and more environmentally friendly! When taking the train you can purchase a Ventra pass or use the Ventra app to add a weekend fare. For travel to the venue, we also recommend public transportation. You can take the Pink Line toward 54th/Cermak and get off at the 18th Street stop, which is 5 blocks west of Thalia Hall, or take the 18th Street bus (#18), which stops at the corner of 18th and Racine, one block east of Thalia Hall.

Travel Note

Thalia Hall Parking Information

Parking can be extremely limited around Thalia Hall because it's in the middle of a Chicago neighborhood. When possible, we encourage you to use public transportation or a ride share service. If you do need to park, 18th Street offers metered parking, while Racine does not require permits or meters. Free street parking is also available along the train tracks on 16th Street between Ashland and Racine. As always, please respect Thalia Hall's neighbors and be conscious of all parking signs.
