Maid of Honor
Nic has been my best friend since we were nine years old. We met growing up on Hollywood Hill, riding bikes to each others houses so that we could ride horses all day, playing pranks on our poor teachers in elementary school, and waiting in line for the midnight premiere of the Twilight movies - to name a few. She knows my soul like no one else in this world, I am so honored to have her by my side on this special day.
Best Man
These two have been inseparable since birth. Being so close in age, these brothers have gone through many things in their lives - always with the other to lean on. Billy also happens to be a top-tier third wheel, and I can't wait to call him my brother.
Bridesmaid
Ashtyn and I were fast friends after sitting next to one another in history class our junior year of high school. She has been my steadfast companion for so many adventures, from the islands of Hawaii to the national parks out west. She has been a shoulder to lean on in hard times, and a perfect companion in happy times. I am lucky to have such a thoughtful, loyal friend - if it wasn't for Ashtyn and her Chelan birthday party, I would never have met Ryder!
Groomsman
Conner has been a close confidant over the last decade. From sharing a room and writing/recording our first songs to roofing the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station together, Conner and I rarely go a week without hanging out or hopping on the telly to swap song ideas.
Bridesmaid
Shannon and I met at university when we both decided to leave at the same time - we were also just about the others only friend living at home during our time away from school. Shannon is so loyal, always up for a spontaneous adventure, and has such generous heart. She and I once spent 6 hours on a Zoom call just chatting about anything we could think of. I have the privilege of standing next to Shan for her own nuptials in October!
Groomsman
Tom is my eldest brother, 13 years further along than I. This typically means whatever bind or debacle I find myself in, he's been there too and has some ideas of what to do/what not to do. He's been a longtime well of wisdom and direction when I need it most.
Bridesmaid
Betsy is my darling, bad*ss cousin, and the only other girl cousin on the Gorton side of the family. She and my aunt Sarah generously hosted my shower in June, and Betsy provided all of the flowers from her own garden! When she isn't hosting and gardening, she is flying EA-18 Growlers all over the world for the US Navy. I told you - she's bad*ss.
Groomsman
Loren, the second oldest brother, has taken me under his wing from the beginning. I remember in my early elementary years, “secular” music was forbidden. Lo had an eclectic vinyl collection. When our parents would go to bed, Lo and I would hunker down in his room in front of the record player. He'd let me pick from album covers, and made sure I ingested a healthy dose of Zeppelin, Petty, The Who and Three Dog Night. He'd quiz me afterwards on the band members names. Loren's still showing me what's cool.
Bridesmaid
Sari is the first born of the grandkids on the Jack side of the family. She is the steadfast leader of the cousins - equal in beauty and creative talent. I feel so lucky to be such good friends with my cousins, and I always come to her when I am needing advice. There is nobody else I would rather sit poolside in Palm Springs with, sipping an extra dirty martini of course.
Groomsman
August is the youngest brother. Growing up, my Mom wouldn't let Con, Bill or I go anywhere without taking August. He tagged along with us everywhere we went - the candy store, 711 bike jumps, Mr. William's Maple. Nowadays, he seems to be the one traveling around on rock climbing adventures. The tables have turned and I'm ready to tag along with Aug.
Bridesmaid
If you get the chance to meet Jana at the wedding, I can guarantee that she will leave you smiling. Jana is my hysterical and loving cousin, and Sari's sister. She invented the "language" that the cousins speak with each other... If you know, you know. She is the life of the party and has a gift for keeping people laughing and making sure they are comfortable in social situations. Anybody who knows Jana is happier for it.
Groomsman
Mine and Zach's friendship goes back to 4th grade. We were rivals who fought in the boys bathroom. In Jr. High we wised up and mutually agreed that, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." We've been best friends for the better part of 2 decades now.
Bridesmaid
Leigh is the cousin closest to me in age on the Jack side - be sure to ask her about our childhood nicknames that used to make me cry. Leigh has the most infectious laugh, whenever I hear it I want to be near her. I have still not laughed harder in my life then when we were at a chicken shack in the Spanish countryside, feel free to ask us for this story as well. Not only is she hilarious and fun to be around, she is as sharp as they come - she just completed grad school at Johns Hopkins where she studied mental health counseling. She is also a glow worm.
Groomsman
Garry and I have been friends since elementary school days. From Skiing and Hiking to Record-listening and BBQ'ing - we always have a great time together. There's no shortage of things to do or discuss (debate) when I'm with Garry.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I have been friends since we grew up together in Woodinville. We became close in high school, and formed what I can only describe as a soul bond - we can go months without seeing each other and always pick up right where we left off. We both joined Delta Gamma at university, me at WSU and her at the University of British Columbia (I probably went to more sorority events at UBC). We have been to countless hockey games and shared nights at the bars (at the age of 19 - thank you Canada) that I will never forget.
Groomsman
The Roses have been family friends since before I was born. From damn near catching hypothermia rafting the Skykomish til 1am to a rum-induced game of "swim-tag" in the Pacific Ocean during a lightning storm - Dalton turns ordinary outings into hilarious memories.
Bridesmaid
Lexi and I met when we joined the Delta Gamma sorority at Washington State University. She and I would go riding double on the Palouse, where we talked for hours and hours. We have a shared passion for animals, especially if they are round and resemble pigs. Lex is an accomplished producer and was my favorite lunch buddy when we worked at the same company. One day we will retire on a goat farm together.
Groomsman
The Roses have been family friends since before I was born. Let's just get it out there - mysterious, ruggedly handsome, hilarious - Dylan's probably the coolest guy you know. Dylan keeps us all level-headed and adds at least 3 shades of cool to our friend group.
Bridesmaid
Kiley and I were paired up to live together in the dorms our freshman year at university, and I wouldn't have survived the year without her! She is so steady and relaxed, and always ready for a fun time. She has been all over the world, and she now continues her travels with her cute Parisian husband, Jordan. Kiley and I visited Cancun together when we were 21 and I hope that there are more fun trips in our future! I just love this girl.
Groomsman
Will may have been skeptical of me at first when I'd pick up his sister with slicked hair, suit and tie, and a '98 Honda Accord with chipping paint. The image just didn't quite add up. We've bonded over the last 6 years from Phish concerts at the Gorge to biking through Palm Springs, and Winthrop road trips to commiserating over being the only males at Becky's dog shows. :) I couldn't be more excited to be gaining a new brother in Will!
