Ryan and Kate met at Auburn University around 2017. After a couple of years as ~just friends~, Ryan tested the waters and flirted with Kate at a fraternity party. Kate had asked how the pregame he'd hosted had been, and he replied with, "It would've been better if you were there!" Luckily, Alpharetta and Buckhead are a short 30 minutes apart, so when they went home that summer they continued to see each other. They went to Braves games, movies, restaurants, and more up until Kate did a month-long study abroad in Italy. They talked on the phone and texted every day while she was gone. When she got home, after a spinach dip and chicken tender dinner at Houston's, Ryan asked Kate to be his girlfriend. Ryan proposed in April 2025 at sunset in their favorite place, 30A in the Florida panhandle. He had a beautiful picnic set up, and he led her over while explaining that his life has been better since she's been in it (a sweet homage to his first pickup line). They celebrated with friends and family and kicked off wedding planning as soon as possible! Fast forward to now, Ryan and Kate have been traveling, eating, and giggling ever since. Their newest addition, Millie, keeps them on their toes! They can't wait to celebrate this day with so many special people.
