The Future Harrisons

Kate: I was living on 30A at the time enjoying every moment of beach life with no intentions to ever leave. I received a call from a number I didn't know, but felt the urge to answer it. It was Ryan Sullivan calling me to let me know he was proposing to a friend of mine, Charli. He asked me if I would be able to attend his engagement party. I didn't know anyone but him and Charli, but just knew I wasn't going to miss it. I arrived that day and someone special immediately caught my eye, but I knew I wasn't going to pursue it. Once we all celebrated the arrival of Charli and Ryan, I took a seat next to Charli's friends and began to get to know them. It was funny, but there was a clear guys and girls table. The guy who previously caught my eye asked to sit next to me. I thought this was odd considering all of Ryan's friends were seated together at the "boys table" but I said no one was sitting there and that he could. I continued chatting with the girls to my right, meanwhile here and there this guy started asking me questions about myself. After about 20 minutes, I was no longer talking to any of the girls to my right and was in deep conversation with this stranger, Pat Pat. Everyone called him Pat Pat. He was funny, charming, and cute. After dinner I planned to drive home, but Pat Pat convinced me to join all of them at the next restaurant they went to. Throughout the evening, it felt like him and I only spoke to each other. I knew there was something special to him when he asked me, "So what makes you tick, Kate?" I couldn't believe such a genuine and meaningful question from a stranger. I had to leave shortly after, so I asked him if he would join me for coffee the next day before he caught his flight home. I had no idea if he would text me that night or even want to do coffee the next day, but he made sure I got home safe that night and followed up about coffee. After church, I drove to their Air BNB and picked him up. He had never seen Rosemary Beach and I couldn't let him leave the area without a walk around Rosemary. We got our coffee and walked around with it for an hour at least until we found a park bench to continue our conversation. Before we knew it, hours had passed and it was time to drive him to the airport. When we hugged goodbye he said, "Keep in touch?" and I said yes of course. When he left I had no idea if we really would, but here we are!! Patrick: I got a phone call from one of my best friends, Ryan. He gave me the exciting news that he was proposing to his now wife, Charli, and that he wanted me to come and celebrate with them in Florida. I was excited and honored for the opportunity. Once I got to the engagement party and we celebrated the newly engaged couple, it was time to sit down for dinner. I went to find a seat and I noticed there was one open next to this beautiful girl. I approached the girl and asked her, "Is anyone sitting here?" She smiled and said "no", so I sat right next to her. I immediately started chatting away with her but quickly felt that she was different. For being strangers, we somehow connected on so many subjects and we were genuinely interested in every word we had to say. Throughout all of the conversations, we laughed all night. Unfortunately, the night was starting to come to an end, several hours later, and she asked if I would be interested in getting coffee the next day before my flight left. It was a no brainer for me because that meant we would get to spend more time together. The next morning, I followed up to make sure we were all good to grab coffee. She picked me up a few hours later and walked me around Rosemary Beach. I got to take in only some of the scenery, because all my focus was on her. We laughed and chatted for hours until I almost missed my flight. We quickly ran to the airport where she dropped me off. Before we even got to the airport, I knew that I would be seeing her again. I knew Kate was special.
