We've tried to make this as easy as possible for guests. We ask that guests arrange transport to Glasgow, Scotland arriving no later than Friday, August 1st, 2025. Transport will be arranged to collect guests from "Hampton by Hilton Glasgow Central" and will bring everyone to Duns Castle on the morning of Saturday, August 2nd.
Yes. The UK requires that all US citizens apply for the UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). It costs 10 GBP per application. We recommend that you secure your ETA form as soon as possible - at least one month in advance. To apply for an ETA, the UK government recommends using the UK ETA app. More information can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta
We are sorry, but due to guest limits at Duns Castle our wedding cannot accommodate additional individuals.

August 2nd: Welcome Event Attire We’re planning some outdoor Scottish activities (weather permitting), so please dress comfortably for movement. If you know Nathan, you won’t be surprised to hear that he plans to be wearing a formal fruit shirt, so feel free to match his energy if you’d like! We’re aiming for dressy casual (no need for suit jackets). If you’re looking for something fun, check out GeekTropical for inspiration. August 3rd: Wedding Day Attire For the wedding, we kindly ask guests to wear cocktail attire. The wedding party will be dressed in outfits inspired by the Sinclair modern hunting tartan, which features emerald green, deep blue, and a pop of red. Guests are welcome but not required to incorporate these colors, we’d love to see anyone who wants to embrace the Scottish setting! Since we’ll decide on the ceremony location (indoors or outdoors) the day of, please dress accordingly for early August Scotland weather, layers are always a good idea!
See the castle website for more information: https://dunscastle.co.uk/
We will provide transportation to and from the castle grounds, where all activities will take place between August 2nd and 4th.
Yes! For those who wish to contribute, we’ve included some things that will help us settle into our new home after the wedding. See the "registry" tab for more information.
If you need to make alternate arrangements, here are a few options: (1) Taxis & Local Cabs: Taxis can be pre-booked in advance, and local cab companies in the area are generally reliable. We recommend calling ahead as availability may be limited, especially in rural areas. A local taxi company that was shared with us is "Bob's Cabs: 07881 613849 bobs.cabs@btinternet.com". (2) Rideshare Apps: Uber, Bolt, and Gett may be limited or unavailable depending on your location. It's worth checking the app, but please don’t rely on them as your only backup. (3) Driving/Parking.
