black sands beach
the black sand beaches are a must! shelter cove, a.k.a the lost coast, is surrounded by black sand beaches. there is a beach within walking distance of almost all the inns in the area. we recommend taking full advantage of their beauty! keep an eye out for the seals along the shore and the wales in the distance! there are also plenty of spots to check out the tide pools. fun fact: the entire reason we chose this location was for these beautiful black sand beaches!
The Redwoods
if you're willing to take a drive through the mountains, we recommend checking out the redwoods on the way to garberville. honestly, you can just pull over once you see them and admire their beauty! it really is a site to see.
Garberville, CA
garberville is a small town on the other side of shelter cove. they have plenty of restaurants and antique shops. we recommend checking it out if you are staying for a few days!
Briceland Vineyards Winery
wine tasting? yes please! short drive inland on the way towards garberville!
Gyppo Ale Mill
one of the few restaurants in town but definitely a must! recommended by almost every local you come across. they brew their own beers too! make sure to check their hours before you go as they do change.
Delgada Pizza And Bakery
located at the inn of the lost coast hotel offering Italian food and baked goods!

Divine Origin
want to pamper yourself? tami, the owner of divine origin is awesome! they are a hair salon and nail salon that offers massages, spray tans, makeup and much more! located in garberville, on the other side of the mountains, be prepared for about an hour drive!
