WE DID IT!

The stars aligned over Little Havanas in Federal Hill on a Thursday night in April. It all started over some chips, guacamole and Pacificos (with a little help from a dating app). Things were going so well, Miles planned the second date before we even paid the check. Lee's Shuckin' in the Street oyster block party was on the books for that Saturday! As we parted ways that night - me in my car, and Miles on his beach cruiser, I knew I had found something special ...and I had to acquire a taste for oysters in less than 2 days!

Fast forward 18 months to the very day, Miles and I were soaking in a San Diego sunset at the Hotel Del Coronado. Next thing I know, Miles was on one knee, with a ring box emerging from his back pocket that I somehow missed all evening. I'm pretty sure Miles popped the question at this point, but I was too distracted by that perfect ring to remember the words. For all I know, Miles could've asked me to go get pizza. Honestly, my answer (and maybe even the happy tears) probably would've been the same response. The realization that Miles had proposed hit when I saw a guy with a camera hiding in the bushes, capturing what would be the most unforgettable sunset. The rest of our San Diego trip was bliss, but the best part was coming home still feeling like I was on vacation because I was engaged to my best adventure, and it had just begun!
