In September 2023, a wonderful woman set Michael and I up on a blind date. While I was reluctant, I agreed to meet him at Rosalie's in Wayne, PA. We had a nice time, discovering that we had a lot in common, and also some differences... Neither Michael nor I reached out to one another after our initial meeting. It wasn't until over a year later, Michael texted me asking for "help with his garden." I visited his farm on a cold January afternoon, which was when we both realized we liked each other. When we started dating, we had to navigate a major obstacle in our relationship. He was Greek Orthodox and I was Roman Catholic. This was a very big deal to us as we both take our faith very seriously. Overtime, I deeply discerned both Churches and felt God calling me to convert to Orthodoxy. Not only do we connect through our love for Christ, but in so many other ways too. Michael and I are both chefs and farmers. I spent three years working and living on various farms throughout the country. After that I started my own personal chef business. Ironically, Michael used to work in fine dining in New York City and Philadelphia. He now operates his family farm in Landenberg, PA where he raises poultry, sheep, and soon veggies (with my help, of course). Michael and I look forward to starting our lives together, building businesses on the farm, and, God willing, raising children who love the Lord. We cannot wait to see what God has planned for us and are so excited to celebrate our love with you all!
