We’re so excited to celebrate with you!

Jeremiah Darnell, having spent 8 years as a neighbor and best friend to Matt, just so happened to be a skilled and talented ICU nurse. And, as luck would have it, also had a keen eye for understanding how people work. On March 4th, 2017, a young, blonde float pool nurse named Kate was working alongside Mr. Darnell. "I need to talk to you about something," he says. Kate being the talented, and extremely qualified nurse she is thought that she was about to get a really great job offer. He continued, "So, I have this friend..." Kate immediately looked at him and said, "Does this friend have a career, does he do drugs, is he taller than me, and does he have his shit together?" Each number was accompanied by a counted finger and sass. To which he responded, "Oh he's definitely taller than you, and he doesn't do drugs because he has a career in the Marines....but he's not your stereotypical kind of Marine - he played trombone in the band. And, now he does public relations. He has his stuff together - he has an awesome kid who's 12" Kate's reply - "I'll think about it." She still wasn't sold. Meanwhile, Matt is out golfing with two of his close friends - and gets a text from Jeremiah. "Are you free for drinks this week? There's someone I work with you should meet." It didn't take long for Jeremiah to send some photos and some light Facebook stalking ensued. Within hours, Jeremiah received an email that simply said, "Hook a sister up." To which he texted back - "Great! Did I mention he had cats?" Soon, Matt and Kate were trading stories of their future plans, goals, and cats. They finally met up for the first time at Modern Times, a brewery front, and spent the entirety of a Monday night talking and laughing. For almost four years that long conversation has continued into the healthy and wonderful relationship that we are now going to celebrate on June 24th. Where Mr. Jeremiah Darnell will complete what he started and marry us both together.
