We'd known each other for years before this happened ...

But then COVID blew up and put an abrupt halt to our cross-country trekking.

So we got pandemic married to seal the deal and then made plans for the fall.

Wherein Kate packed up all their worldly goods and moved to Iowa where Laura wanted to live.

ICYMI: Iowa is very cold.

Fun fact: Grant Wood lived and painted in Iowa. We make art in other ways.

Finally, we got vaxxed and went somewhere warm for our honeymoon--two years later.
