We met at Deets BBQ in Rosssford. He had just moved back 7 months before from Phoenix, where he lived for 6 years, and I was starting my second job! The funniest part of the entire story is that I didn't even really like him at first. He was quirky and weird, which, as it turns out, is my type. That was news to me. He made me laugh and made me smile. When I was with him, everything wrong in my world didn't exist. He softened my heart and I am so incredibly happy to be with him. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life making him feel the way he makes me feel. I love you, Kevin Michael Allen!
It was 4am. I was in a dead sleep. Kevin had woken up several times throughout the night because he couldn't sleep. He was too busy planning the perfect moment to put the ring on my hand. Me, sound asleep, kept rolling into positions where my left hand wasn't exposed. When my hand was finally free Kevin tried to carefully place the ring on my finger, but I woke up, startled by someone messing with my hand while I slept. His plan was for me to wake up and see the ring on my hand and be confused. He put a series of sticky notes on my phone saying how much he loved me and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes, still groggy from just waking up (at 4am). It was adorable and the perfect way to get engaged. It's unique, that's for sure, but it's our story and it's my favorite.
