Kendrick and I are a dating app success story. We've both often been described as "old souls," so it's funny that we found each other in such a modern way. We're grateful for it every day. Our first date was in April of 2021 at Gravel Bottom Brewery. Kendrick was my first app date, so I remember being really nervous. Lucky for me, Kendrick is warm and easy to talk to. I felt instantly comfortable as we talked. We lost track of time and ended up closing down the bar that night. It was early spring and the weather was getting nice. Kendrick asked me out again the next day to play tennis and the rest is history. Through the next two years of dating, Kendrick and I navigated long distance, job changes and several moves. Fortunately, in August of 2023, Kendrick found a job in Grand Rapids and shortly after we got engaged! We're looking forward to getting married, moving in together, and starting our lives together.

Kendrick proposed on Mackinac Island September 9, 2023. The island is a special place for both of us and my favorite place in the world. He proposed in the Secret Garden in front of the Grand Hotel, which is my favorite place...in my favorite place. After that, he surprised me with my family and friends. It was the best day of my life so far.
