Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

Our wedding will be at the Venues on Broad, which includes two adjacent spaces: The Veranda and The Venue on Broad. We’re planning to hold the ceremony in The Veranda courtyard, weather permitting. If it rains or is too hot, the ceremony will move indoors. Cocktail hour will take place at The Veranda, followed by the reception in The Venue on Broad. Both venues are just steps apart, so transitioning between them will be seamless.

What should I wear?

Answer

For the Wedding Ceremony & Reception, the attire is semi-formal — suits for men (tie preferred) and long or mid-length dresses for women. Polished and classic, but not black tie. For the Welcome Party, the attire is dressy casual — short or mid-length dresses, dressy separates, or jumpsuits for women; button-down shirts and pants for men, jacket optional.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! The Venues on Broad offer on-site parking. There are designated parking lots available at both venue spaces, with additional overflow parking at Benson’s and Starlight nearby. We also recommend using rideshare when possible—Uber and Lyft are both readily available throughout Athens.

To help us plan comfortably, we kindly ask that only the guests listed on your invitation attend. We appreciate your understanding.

What is the best airport to fly into?

Answer

The nearest major airport is Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), about 80 miles (roughly a 1.5-hour drive) from Athens. From there, you can rent a car for flexibility or take the Groome Transportation shuttle, which runs between the airport and Athens several times a day.
