Although we are not sisters by blood, she is my sister through life. Mary is fun, joyful, exciting, brave, and oh-so-very-smart. She is the peanut butter to my jelly!

Mario and I met in middle school when we played soccer against each other. Ever since then, Mario has been the most supportive and close friend that I have known. Mario is light-hearted, funny, and always shows compassion towards others.

Kim is one of José's sisters, and we have such a fun relationship! Kim and José grew up side by side with only 15 months in between them. She is light-hearted, talented in so many ways, present, and SUPER funny. We never skip a beat when she's in town!

Rosy is the oldest of Jose's three sisters, and by-far the goofiest! When I met Rosy, I instantly felt comfortable and loved. She is such a special part of the Escobar clan and an amazing mom to her two littles. I love her light-heartedness, her joy, and her strength.

Bryan is the brother that I never had. Growing up with three sisters, I always looked forward to our trips to Houston to have guy-time with him. Bryan has always inspired me to seek resilience among adversity. I admire his strength, humor, and kindness towards whoever he meets.

Melissa and I met when we lived in Argentina. After I took the wrong bus twice and got dropped off in a questionable neighborhood, I clung to her side for the rest of our time there. She even loved me despite me ripping my scrub pants up the hem at a street corner when I thought there was a spider crawling up my leg. Melissa recklessly loves others the way Jesus does, and she is constantly an inspiration to me and so many others.

Clyde is my first love. When I found out he was going to be born, I instantly knew he would be my best buddy. I love looking at the world through Clyde's eyes, because he is the most loving, patient, and pure-spirited boy I know. I can't wait to have him by my side on our special day. -Kate
