How do I get to and from the ceremony?

Answer

To the Ceremony: Buses will depart at 12:20 PM from just outside the main entrance gates of the Lodge at Castle Leslie Estate (next to the Pillar House Bar). Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to ensure a prompt departure. The ceremony will begin at 1 PM. From the Ceremony to the Reception: Return buses will depart from St. Malachy’s Catholic Church at 2:30 PM, heading back to Castle Leslie Estate. The reception begins at 3 PM.

Will transportation be available on the Wedding night if I am staying off premises?

Answer

If you are staying off-premises on the night of the wedding, taxis will be available from 12 AM to 3 AM to transport guests to nearby hotels and Airbnbs.

What is appropriate for a Black-Tie dress code?

Answer

For Women: Floor-length gowns / formal cocktail dresses (color encouraged!) Elegant suits For Men: Tuxedos White dress shirts Solid-colored bow ties or neckties

What is the weather typically like?

Answer

Irish summers can be unpredictable! The average temperature is around 60°F / 15°C, and while we’re hoping for sunshine, a light layer is always a good idea just in case. We recommend checking the 5-day forecast before you travel to get a sense of what to pack.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will take place indoors. However, Castle Leslie boasts beautiful gardens and a scenic lakeside, which will be accessible during the cocktail hour and reception weather permitting.
