Jeremy and Kate met in June of 2003 when they were both working on an independant film together. Kate was acting in the film, Jeremy was the director of photography. Although there were feelings and sparks, once the film wrapped they did not stay in touch. It wasn’t until fall of 2016, after they each looked for each other through out the years ever so often on social media platforms, that they finally reconnected via Facebook. Kate had moved to California by this time, and was pursuing her acting career, and Jeremy managed a restaurant in Jersey City where he lived. As it turned out, Kate was planning on being in New York for a few weeks to produce and act in a film, and she was still trying to lock down a cinematographer. Jeremy took the job, and when they first met again, to discuss the film, sparks flew. By the time Kate was leaving to return to California, they knew they were about to embark on a long distance relationship. For seven months, they facetimed, made phone calls, wrote actual snail mail, and took turns visiting each other. In June 2017, Jeremy moved to California and they found an adorable and homey second floor bungalow apartment that they now call home. The sweet home they share is the place where Jeremy proposed on November 11, 2018.
