Castello di Rosciano (formerly Russanum, Rescanum, Recsano, and later Rusciano) is located in Signoria di Torgiano, Perugia (PG). Built on an Etruscan and later Roman site, it was destroyed in 548, and considered impregnable in the Middle Ages. The very first official historical record dates back to 18 February 1038.

Travel Note

By Car

Along the route SS3BIS / E45, both coming from north (Perugia, Cesena) or south direction (Roma, Orte), exit at Torgiano. Once in Torgiano, follow the road until the first set of traffic lights. Follow the signs for Bettona until Signoria. After about 200 m from the sign indicating the entrance into Signoria, take the first right. Proceed for about 1 km, up the hill to the walls of the Castello di Rosciano.
