If you plan to take the provided transportation to/from the reception, please board the bus from one of the following locations. The Newport Marriott | BUS DEPARTS 3:45 PM If needed, a public parking garage is located next door at 1 W Marlborough St. The Sonesta Select | BUS DEPARTS 3:45 PM Buses back to the Newport/Middletown hotels will depart starting at 10 p.m., following the end of the reception.
For our wedding kickoff, we are keeping things "smart casual." Sport coats are not required, but our event will be partially hosted on an outdoor roof deck, so dress appropriately for the weather!
We ask that guests please dress in formal attire (suits, gowns, and cocktail dresses are all welcome!) We ask that ladies please avoid stiletto heels, and recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket, as late September nights tend to be cool.
With the ceremony ending around 2 p.m. and the reception shuttles departing from their pick-up locations at 3:45 p.m., you'll have a little free time on Saturday afternoon. Use this time however suits you! Head back to your hotel to rest and freshen up, or grab a drink or a late lunch in town. Just make sure you are on time to get on the shuttle around 3:40 p.m.
If weather permits, our cocktail hour will be outdoors on the lawn, while the reception will be held beneath a covered tent.
Welcome Party: The brewery is a quick ten-minute drive from downtown Newport. Parking is available on-site, or we suggest using a ride-share app (Uber/Lyft). The Ceremony: Our Lady of Mercy Chapel is a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Newport. Parking is available on-site, or we suggest using a ride-share app (Uber/Lyft). The Reception: Our reception will be held at a private home in Narragansett, Rhode Island (30 minutes outside of Newport.) Transportation will be provided for guests from Newport/Middletown to Narragansett and back. If you'd prefer to drive, street parking will be available.
Unless specified on your invitation, we ask that guests please not bring a plus one.
