What are the bus pickup times and locations?

Answer

If you plan to take the provided transportation to/from the reception, please board the bus from one of the following locations. Market Square | BUS DEPARTS 3:45 PM Right next to the Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina lot, near the back of Saltwater (the hotel's restaurant). Feel free to ask the front desk for directions! The Newport Marriott | BUS DEPARTS 3:45 PM If needed, a public parking garage is located next door at 1 W Marlborough St. The Sonesta Select | BUS DEPARTS 3:45 PM Buses back to the Newport/Middletown hotels will depart starting at 10 p.m., following the end of the reception.

What is the dress code for the welcome party?

Answer

For our wedding kickoff, we are keeping things "smart casual." Sport coats are not required, but our event will be partially hosted on an outdoor roof deck, so dress appropriately for the weather!

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We ask that guests please dress in formal attire (suits, gowns, and cocktail dresses are all welcome!) We ask that ladies please avoid stiletto heels, and recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket, as late September nights tend to be cool.

What should I do during the break between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

With the ceremony ending around 2 p.m. and the reception shuttles departing from their pick-up locations at 3:45 p.m., you'll have a little free time on Saturday afternoon. Use this time however suits you! Head back to your hotel to rest and freshen up, or grab a drink or a late lunch in town. Just make sure you are on time to get on the shuttle around 3:40 p.m.

Will your wedding be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

If weather permits, our cocktail hour will be outdoors on the lawn, while the reception will be held beneath a covered tent.

What is the best way to get to and from events?

Answer

Welcome Party: The brewery is a quick ten-minute drive from downtown Newport. Parking is available on-site, or we suggest using a ride-share app (Uber/Lyft). The Ceremony: Our Lady of Mercy Chapel is a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Newport. Parking is available on-site, or we suggest using a ride-share app (Uber/Lyft). The Reception: Our reception will be held at a private home in Narragansett, Rhode Island (30 minutes outside of Newport.) Transportation will be provided for guests from Newport/Middletown to Narragansett and back. If you'd prefer to drive, street parking will be available.

Unless specified on your invitation, we ask that guests please not bring a plus one.

Answer

While we adore your children, we have decided to keep our wedding an adult-only event.
